The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Siebe Luijten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragons EC's Gilberto Arias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Siebe Luijten put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gilberto Arias. In the 14th match minute, All Stars Gent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Maria Van Meenen to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Dragons EC booed when All Stars Gent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickael Dirickx didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Dragons EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Siebe Luijten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Arias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute All Stars Gent were awarded a corner. Rafael Maria Van Meenen went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 31st minute, Rafael Maria Van Meenen made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Arias. Dragons EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. With a little luck, Dragons EC's Gilberto Arias got control of the ball when Jesus Van Meenen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jesus Van Meenen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Siebe Luijten had several of the Dragons EC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-0 score and a disappointed Gilberto Arias as he didn't even see the shot coming. Siebe Luijten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gilberto Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yvan Poets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Saldanha in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute Jarbas Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yvan Poets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The wind increased when Arnaldo Saldanha made the kick off in the second half. Yvan Poets made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jailson Montenegro in the 54th minute. The supporters of Dragons EC booed when All Stars Gent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Melkval didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dragons EC's Gilberto Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Van Meenen in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Dragons EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Van Meenen came free, but Gilberto Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yvan Poets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Saldanha in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Siebe Luijten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Arias. Dragons EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Siebe Luijten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. 71 minutes into the match, Jesus Van Meenen notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Dragons EC's Gilberto Arias. Gilberto Arias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gilberto Arias came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by All Stars Gent's Siebe Luijten. But to his dismay, Siebe Luijten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Maria Van Meenen during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafael Maria Van Meenen kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Gilberto Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Van Meenen in the 81st minute of the match. Gilberto Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siebe Luijten in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Siebe Luijten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragons EC's Gilberto Arias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dragons EC's Laércio Freitas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yvan Poets. That made the score 8-1 after 85 minutes of play. Siebe Luijten succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 9-1. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragons EC's goalkeeper Gilberto Arias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
