Eulalio Palos hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the match, Boquenses's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Gray came free, but Lucio Thomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Bero in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florin Dorlea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Florin Dorlea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Bero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ove Lövkvist hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Lucio Thomas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Gray, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The IFK Göteborg fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when IFK Göteborg's Albert Gray looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Damian Bero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Dorlea having to interfere. Damian Bero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Florin Dorlea made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Damian Bero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Florin Dorlea. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. IFK Göteborg's Florin Dorlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Bidari in the 31st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Damian Bero put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Florin Dorlea. In the 39th minute Albert Gray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Thomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Frichoso got free with Florin Dorlea in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Albert Gray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rikard Åkesson to make the kick off. Lucio Thomas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Gray in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, Boquenses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Hotz to maneuver through the defense. IFK Göteborg's Florin Dorlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Bidari in the 56th minute of play. Bianco Arcari charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bianco Arcari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes IFK Göteborg got a freekick which was hit by Bianco Arcari. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Damian Bero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boquenses's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Bero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florin Dorlea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Bidari in the 64th minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Florin Dorlea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute Placido Bidari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Dorlea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Bidari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boquenses made a substitution. Joaquin Martxot replaced Damian Bero. After some careless play in the IFK Göteborg defense, Placido Bidari kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florin Dorlea. The IFK Göteborg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florin Dorlea should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Boquenses getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Anastasio Balendin hit a great ball. Placido Bidari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Placido Bidari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boquenses's supporters crossed their fingers, but Placido Bidari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. IFK Göteborg's Florin Dorlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Bidari in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute of the match Boquenses got a corner. IFK Göteborg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aristides Hotz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Boquenses's Rodrigo Frichoso getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal.
