Aílton Cearense hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Franciszek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Junior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aílton Cearense scored 1-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franciszek Wojtyna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Franciszek Wojtyna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Saldanha in the 31st minute of play. F.C. Carmo De Kiev's Navarro Montoya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Borucki in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Marek Spychalski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franciszek Wojtyna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Cearense in the 36th minute of play. Franciszek Wojtyna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Ivarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. MS Rybnik's Franciszek Wojtyna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Saldanha in the 40th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lars Ivarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lars Ivarsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Franciszek Wojtyna came out and tried to block the shot, but Lars Ivarsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 54th minute. When Waclaw Hryc fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MS Rybnik's protests and gave Waclaw Hryc a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes MS Rybnik got a freekick which was hit by Waclaw Hryc. Franciszek Wojtyna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Ivarsson in the 66th minute of play. Cafu Novaes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 72 minutes into the match, MS Rybnik's goalkeeper Franciszek Wojtyna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aílton Cearense. In the 73rd match minute, F.C. Carmo De Kiev was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Franciszek Wojtyna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Cruz in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to MS Rybnik getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gwidon Pracki hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, F.C. Carmo De Kiev's Isaltino Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franciszek Wojtyna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Franciszek Wojtyna successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 89th minute Leszek Hludzenski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Navarro Montoya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leszek Hludzenski, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute Boguslaw Jastrowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Janusz Bobrowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The F.C. Carmo De Kiev supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F.C. Carmo De Kiev would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
