Andrzej Köpke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Cosmos 1984 NewDance booed when The Best Ones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wellington Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Kryspin Jaroszewicz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Dante skillfully saved the ball. In the 6th minute, Luisinho Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Kryspin Jaroszewicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Dante was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Kryspin Jaroszewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Erik Dante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Wellington Xavier fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Best Ones's protests and gave Wellington Xavier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Wellington Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match Kryspin Jaroszewicz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Dante skillfully saved the ball. Luisinho Veiga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Andrzej Köpke skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29th minute The Best Ones were awarded a corner. Wellington Xavier went to the cornerflag to take it. Andrzej Köpke was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luisinho Veiga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 37 minute of play. Erik Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kryspin Jaroszewicz in the 41st minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of The Best Ones:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cosmos 1984 NewDance:s goal. The Best Ones:s Erik Dante showed great skill when he stopped Kryspin Jaroszewicz:s penalty. Erik Dante didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kryspin Jaroszewicz went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Best Ones's Erik Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kryspin Jaroszewicz in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Veiga came free, but Andrzej Köpke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, The Best Ones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Maia to maneuver through the defense. Wlodzimierz Zagrobelny succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 62nd playminute. 69 minutes into the match, The Best Ones's goal looked a bit too open when Juliusz Ziombkowski came free, but Erik Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kryspin Jaroszewicz got free with Erik Dante in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiago Quirino struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Andrzej Köpke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Best Ones. After 85 played minutes Cosmos 1984 NewDance got a freekick which was hit by Milosz Skaradowski. Luisinho Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Andrzej Köpke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisinho Veiga in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrzej Köpke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisinho Veiga in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrzej Köpke saved Cosmos 1984 NewDance from getting behind. Dráusio Machado hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The Cosmos 1984 NewDance players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
