It was Sandro Coisne who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Salinas FC booed when Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Rik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toro Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Lohitzun having to interfere. Godofredo Rik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toro Murillo in the 20th minute of play forced Salinas FC's goalkeeper Elvio Lohitzun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Godofredo Rik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elvio Lohitzun. Salinas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godofredo Rik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 25th minute, Godofredo Rik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Fe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Bartolo Pedroso's late challenge caught a Santa Fe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartolo Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Salinas FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bartolo Pedroso hit a great ball. Venancio Bertol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elvio Lohitzun having to make a save. Elvio Lohitzun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Rik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venancio Bertol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Elvio Lohitzun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toro Murillo in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Lohitzun saved Salinas FC from getting behind. Toro Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Lohitzun having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Ambrosio Frasco made the kick off in the second half. After 51st play minutes Toro Murillo shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Elvio Lohitzun and just under the crossbar into goal. Elvio Lohitzun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Venancio Bertol in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Venancio Bertol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elvio Lohitzun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Venancio Bertol in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elvio Lohitzun, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Elvio Lohitzun was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eliott Pépin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 66 minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Salinas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Txindoki to maneuver through the defense. Elvio Lohitzun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Bertol in the 71st minute of the match. Venancio Bertol might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elvio Lohitzun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Venancio Bertol ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Toro Murillo put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Elvio Lohitzun. Elvio Lohitzun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Rik in the 79th minute of the match. When Godofredo Rik came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Santa Fe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godofredo Rik couldn't finish the play. Elvio Lohitzun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Rik in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Eliott Pépin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ambrosio Frasco during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Salinas FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ambrosio Frasco hit a great ball. Santa Fe's Godofredo Rik managed to work through Salinas FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Godofredo Rik dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 90th minute Godofredo Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Lohitzun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ambrosio Frasco hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Elvio Lohitzun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Rik in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Higinio Salvadore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Venancio Bertol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elvio Lohitzun. Salinas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Venancio Bertol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. The Salinas FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santa Fe were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
