Tobias Alebäck made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Arda Turan sent off a good shot on target. Karl-Ove Holmberg scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fatih Aslan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ayberk Ülkümen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Alebäck having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, BAYMIŞ SK's Doruk Paşa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tobias Alebäck. Tobias Alebäck yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Şenel Civan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Tobias Alebäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
