In the 23rd minute Venko Petrov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Macerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Hegoi's late challenge caught a FC Bansko's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Hegoi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, Boulogne F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Hegoi to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Venko Petrov put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Teodosio Macerio. After a rather tough play, FC Bansko's Stiliyan Tachkov got a free kick in the 41st minute. Stanislav Korunov charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stanislav Korunov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dragolyub Búrdarov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paun Atkov made a kick off. In the 55th match minute, FC Bansko was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bratan Rogev to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Boulogne F.C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jairo Hegoi hit a great ball. After 60 minutes, Moises Cai mouthed his way into the referee's book. Teodosio Macerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
