Carlos Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaggelos Komaitis having to interfere. Que se abra o mar's Duda Camargo got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PaoK Neapoleos's Evaggelos Komaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Varela in the 40th minute of play. PaoK Neapoleos's Evaggelos Komaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Varela in the 62nd minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, PaoK Neapoleos's Adamantios Thomaidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gino Britto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Gino Britto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Savas Papageorgiou's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. The PaoK Neapoleos fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when PaoK Neapoleos's Savas Papageorgiou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Gino Britto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PaoK Neapoleos. In the 85th minute, Adamantios Thomaidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gino Britto was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Adamantios Thomaidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
