Gyál United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monumento Sports the free kick. In the 11th minute of the match, László Medgyesi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Natanael Sena saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monumento Sports's goalkeeper Natanael Sena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, László Medgyesi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Natanael Sena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tibor Kerekes hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Joel Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Lopes in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by László Medgyesi in the 34th minute of play forced Monumento Sports's goalkeeper Natanael Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Róbert Tamás kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Monumento Sports's Joel Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sándor Jászberényi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, Monumento Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes in the game Géza Sipos got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toninho Arruda was the one to do the kick off. Joel Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sándor Jászberényi having to interfere. Joel Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gyál United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Albertinho Barros scored to the left of an out of position Sándor Jászberényi, making the score, 1-1. Tibor Kerekes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Sándor Jászberényi made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Joel Lopes sent off a good shot on target. Sándor Jászberényi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 70th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Joel Lopes took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Sándor Jászberényi to make any attempt to save it. Tibor Kerekes hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Joel Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Sándor Jászberényi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Monumento Sports getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Kosta Kent hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Monumento Sports walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
