In the 2nd match minute, New York Red Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Panduru to maneuver through the defense. New York Red Bulls's Eduardo Pereyra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save New York Red Bulls from getting a goal against them. 5 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Papi Hamburger. 7 minutes into the match, Frank Rijkaard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raúl Nóbrega. Futuros FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Rijkaard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adilson Toledo. Juarês Marinho hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Eduardo Pereyra made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Papi Hamburger sent off a good shot on target. Eduardo Pereyra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by New York Red Bulls's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Juarês Marinho was slow to take the kick. During this time Futuros FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Futuros FC's corner Juarês Marinho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eduardo Pereyra quite easily take care of the ball. Raúl Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Balint in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Balint in the 24th minute of play forced Futuros FC's goalkeeper Raúl Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Futuros FC got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Brasil. Raúl Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Balint, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Colorado came free, but Eduardo Pereyra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raúl Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berkan Temel, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Davi Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Pereyra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raúl Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Balint, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Basarab Panduru charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basarab Panduru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, New York Red Bulls's Basarab Panduru got a free kick in the 36th minute. Falcão Colorado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eduardo Pereyra. New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. George Schiau took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raúl Nóbrega. Raúl Nóbrega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 44 played minutes Futuros FC got a freekick which was hit by Falcão Colorado.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Berkan Temel to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Futuros FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Davi Barbosa hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Basarab Panduru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raúl Nóbrega was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Berkan Temel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raúl Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Schiau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on New York Red Bulls's corner Basarab Panduru fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Raúl Nóbrega quite easily take care of the ball. In the 66thth minute of the game Berkan Temel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Futuros FC's Raúl Nóbrega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Marian Balint ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raúl Nóbrega was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Raúl Nóbrega made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Berkan Temel sent off a good shot on target. Raúl Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Balint, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Papi Hamburger fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Futuros FC's protests and gave Papi Hamburger a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Futuros FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Papi Hamburger hit a great ball. If Cazimir Giosu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Dom Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George Schiau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 minutes of play, Futuros FC's Papi Hamburger made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Pereyra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marian Balint received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raúl Nóbrega came out and tried to block the shot, but Marian Balint slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 93rd minute. A collision led to New York Red Bulls getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Berkan Temel hit a great ball. When the match was over New York Red Bulls could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Futuros FC throughout the match.
