The supporters of DENVER™ booed when La Acade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Raebert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Róbson Vasconcelos shot from long distance in the 5th minute, but Nestor Socorro was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Nilton Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Blai in the 10th minute of play forced DENVER™'s goalkeeper Dida Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Blai in the 26th minute of play forced DENVER™'s goalkeeper Dida Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caio de Mendonça hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, La Acade's goalkeeper Nestor Socorro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Márcio Guedes. Dida Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Roldanillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Indar was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Cayetano Roldanillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Acade's supporters rose to their feet, but Cayetano Roldanillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Brasil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 54 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goalkeeper Dida Brasil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregorio Blai. Gino Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 60 minutes, Gregorio Blai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Acade's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorio Blai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dida Brasil was a little too slow when Cayetano Roldanillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-1. Gino Carneiro charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gino Carneiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to DENVER™ getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gino Carneiro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in La Acade's zone, Luiz Guilherme Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Socorro came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th match minute, La Acade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Cheche to maneuver through the defense. Márcio Guedes scored 1-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nestor Socorro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregorio Blai got free with Dida Brasil in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nestor Socorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Domingo Cheche fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Acade's protests and gave Domingo Cheche a yellow card for diving instead. Domingo Cheche hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Gregorio Blai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Acade's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorio Blai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
