After a defensive mix-up in Papillon AC's zone, Gürsel Nafi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Gartxot came out of the goal and Gürsel Nafi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Carlos Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olli-Pekka Suoste in the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, Papillon AC's Eugenio Gartxot got control of the ball when Richard-Dean Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, BARBARIDADE G.M.'s goal looked a bit too open when Olli-Pekka Suoste came free, but José Carlos Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Juan Fernando Quintero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Olli-Pekka Suoste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Carlos Mendonça was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Thiago de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Olli-Pekka Suoste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Olli-Pekka Suoste made the kick off in the second half. Benjamim Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Papillon AC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Timoteo Herrera in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Gürsel Nafi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BARBARIDADE G.M. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Olli-Pekka Suoste could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but José Carlos Mendonça made a huge save. In the 67th match minute, Papillon AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Fernando Quintero to maneuver through the defense. José Carlos Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton Friedman in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, BARBARIDADE G.M.'s Thiago de Lima got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute, Olli-Pekka Suoste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot by Timoteo Herrera from long distance, 83 minutes into the match, got José Carlos Mendonça's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 87 minutes into the match, BARBARIDADE G.M.'s goalkeeper José Carlos Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olli-Pekka Suoste. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olli-Pekka Suoste in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Carlos Mendonça saved BARBARIDADE G.M. from getting behind. In the 95th minute of the match Timoteo Herrera sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Carlos Mendonça skillfully saved the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. BARBARIDADE G.M. were victorious despite being under pressure from Papillon AC for much of the match.
