Agustín Aguado started the match with the kick off. Federico Azofra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fred Anselius went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 7 minutes into the match, Atlético Mancha Real's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Anselius came free, but Federico Azofra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flock of Eagles's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fred Anselius in the 10th minute. After taking down the ball on Flock of Eagles's corner Fred Anselius fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Federico Azofra quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Atlético Mancha Real defense, Arne Benett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Azofra. The Atlético Mancha Real fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Azofra should have stopped the shot. Arne Benett struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Federico Azofra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flock of Eagles. 21 minutes into the match, Atlético Mancha Real's Agustín Aguado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl Bock narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Federico Azofra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Håkan Holm went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The Flock of Eagles fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Flock of Eagles's Fred Anselius looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 30th minute, Arne Benett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Federico Azofra was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Anselius in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Azofra saved Atlético Mancha Real from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Anselius in the 39th minute of play forced Atlético Mancha Real's goalkeeper Federico Azofra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Federico Azofra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Anselius in the 40th minute of the match. Karl Bock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vito Aizpurua in the 43rd minute. Karl Bock made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Vito Aizpurua sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute Fred Anselius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Azofra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fred Anselius was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Santiago Puyol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Anselius, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Agustín Aguado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl Bock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Håkan Holm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Azofra having to interfere. Fred Anselius kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Karl Bock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Aguado in the 76th minute of the match. Fred Anselius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Azofra having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Mancha Real's zone, Håkan Holm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Azofra came out of the goal and Håkan Holm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred Anselius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Federico Azofra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Flock of Eagles supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Flock of Eagles would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
