Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Sundström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abel Van Clijnebreugel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Sundström having to make a save. After 12 minutes Östavall's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abel Van Clijnebreugel who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Abel Van Clijnebreugel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leonardo Sundström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Fauna Utd booed when Östavall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Rosin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Fauna Utd's Robben De Vlaeminck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leonardo Sundström. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Östavall defense, Abel Van Clijnebreugel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Sundström. The Östavall fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Sundström should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute of the match, Abel Van Clijnebreugel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leonardo Sundström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fauna Utd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 26th minute. In the 28th match minute, Fauna Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robben De Vlaeminck to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Harry Rönn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Östavall's goalkeeper Leonardo Sundström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Van Clijnebreugel. Abel Van Clijnebreugel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Sundström having to make a save. In the 35th minute, Joakim Rosin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gino Van Deijck was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Wout Rosbach charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wout Rosbach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 minutes, Henrik Van Brabandt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fauna Utd and the Östavall players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Östavall booed when Fauna Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Van Brabandt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th match minute, Fauna Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robben De Vlaeminck to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Gino Van Deijck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdemar Albom in the 52nd minute. Abel Van Clijnebreugel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dean De Koq during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dean De Koq kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Abel Van Clijnebreugel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Leonardo Sundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Östavall's Joakim Rosin got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Ive Beckers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Abel Van Clijnebreugel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fauna Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Van Clijnebreugel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Sundström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abel Van Clijnebreugel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Leonardo Sundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Sundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robben De Vlaeminck in the 74th minute of play. Abel Van Clijnebreugel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Leonardo Sundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Sundström saved Östavall from getting behind. If Robben De Vlaeminck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Östavall fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! 91 minutes into the match, Abel Van Clijnebreugel notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Östavall's Leonardo Sundström. Leonardo Sundström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 96th minute of play forced Östavall's goalkeeper Leonardo Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the game, Fauna Utd's Abel Van Clijnebreugel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonardo Sundström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1.
