In the 11th match minute, Montesclarense E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Copetonas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Arósio came free, but Alejandro Gervaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 minutes Copetonas AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Durval Tinoco who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Montesclarense E.C.'s corner Zé Carlos Tasso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alejandro Gervaso quite easily take care of the ball. Alejandro Gervaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Arósio in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Pedro Luís Arósio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Copetonas AFC's Alejandro Gervaso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute, Atilano Mendiko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Copetonas AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Alejandro Gervaso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Luís Arósio went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Luís Arósio in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alejandro Gervaso saved Copetonas AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Santos in the 40th minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Tostão Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41stth minute of the game Tomás Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montesclarense E.C.'s Tostão Cardoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eustacio Gudesteo charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustacio Gudesteo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Copetonas AFC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Eustacio Gudesteo hit a great ball. Pedro Luís Arósio took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejandro Gervaso. Alejandro Gervaso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

If Tomás Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Eger hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Pedro Luís Arósio put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Alejandro Gervaso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Lizbeth in the 69th minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Tostão Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilano Mendiko during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when Copetonas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Mendiko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Lizbeth hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilano Mendiko in the 75th minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Tostão Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tostão Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Mendiko, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When Tomás Santos fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Copetonas AFC's protests and gave Tomás Santos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Copetonas AFC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Tomás Santos hit a great ball. In the 89th match minute, Montesclarense E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. After 90 played minutes, Copetonas AFC's Joaquin Frutos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tostão Cardoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Copetonas AFC reached it. Tomás Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin Frutos scored 2-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tostão Cardoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Montesclarense E.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
