But to his dismay, Henrik Flink quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Corrado Bosco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Johnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Saronida FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Staffan Hääger was slow to take the kick. During this time Idrottsklubben -03's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Saronida FC's goalie and right to Vilhelm Wennersten. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Saronida FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A hard shot 21 in the game by Markos Renieris from a close distance when the talented Stellan Jonasson managed to make a qualified save. Idrottsklubben -03's players were relieved. Vilhelm Wennersten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Corrado Bosco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Emil Johnsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corrado Bosco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 29 played minutes Saronida FC got a freekick which was hit by Panos Siafakas. The supporters of Saronida FC booed when Idrottsklubben -03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilhelm Wennersten didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Idrottsklubben -03's Henrik Flink made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corrado Bosco was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the match, Idrottsklubben -03's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Psaridis came free, but Stellan Jonasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Idrottsklubben -03 played a much better game than Saronida FC and deserved their victory. The Saronida FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
