GD Almargense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Prates was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Benjamin Šeško took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for João Pedro do Nascimento to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Fala Sério FC defense, Valentín Gómez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Pedro do Nascimento. The Fala Sério FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Pedro do Nascimento should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Luciano Rodríguez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Fala Sério FC's zone, Luciano Rodríguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Pedro do Nascimento came out of the goal and Luciano Rodríguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Matanović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. João Pedro do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Luciano Rodríguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luciano Rodríguez in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Pedro do Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
