Papunhas EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ÇALIMLI the free kick. After a rather tough play, Papunhas EC's Maurinho Prestes got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 7th minute, Doğan Zakir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, David Furtado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Papunhas EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 13 minutes of play Papunhas EC's Maurinho Prestes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 14th minute, Maurinho Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, ÇALIMLI's Luiz Fabiano Jacinto got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, David Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the game, Papunhas EC's Artur do Nascimento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ertuğrul Rasi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Artur do Nascimento hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Betinho Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ertuğrul Rasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fernando Nogueira was the one to do the kick off. ÇALIMLI's Ertuğrul Rasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur do Nascimento in the 65th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Torres hit a great ball. When David Furtado came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Papunhas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Furtado couldn't finish the play. Artur do Nascimento received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ertuğrul Rasi came out and tried to block the shot, but Artur do Nascimento slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 95th minute.
