Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) In the 2nd minute, Mădălin Băcila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 3 minutes into the match, Kind of Blue's Malte Siöberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiberiu Mischie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Kind of Blue booed when FC Politehnica Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodor Lucaci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiberiu Mischie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Malte Siöberg's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Eric Åkesson was a little too slow when Emanuel Strugure got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. Eric Åkesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Stover in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Kind of Blue's goal looked a bit too open when Junior Stover came free, but Eric Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Robert Koren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Åkesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kind of Blue's Eric Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Koren in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Teodor Lucaci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Alex Paveliuc hit a great ball. Tiberiu Mischie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Ahlerot in the 42nd minute of play. After 46 played minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Strugure. When Freddie Söderlund came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Kind of Blue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddie Söderlund couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Malte Siöberg made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Lucaci in the 58th minute of play forced Kind of Blue's goalkeeper Eric Åkesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Junior Stover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Kind of Blue's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Lucaci came free, but Eric Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Malte Siöberg came free, but Tiberiu Mischie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th match minute, Kind of Blue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per Tunberg to maneuver through the defense. Malte Siöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freddie Söderlund during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Malte Siöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Mischie having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Emanuel Strugure got a free kick in the 94th minute.
