After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Wayne Rooney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Beirut's supporters rose to their feet, but Wayne Rooney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Jalal Fathi could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Julian Gurgul however easily saved by the left post. Wayne Rooney's late challenge caught a Błękitny Grom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nour Al Tufail showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryszard Klejnowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the game, Kazimierz Falke threw the ball into play from the sideline. In the 62ndth minute of the game Wayne Rooney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Błękitny Grom's Julian Gurgul was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Błękitny Grom booed when Atletico Beirut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wayne Rooney didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute of the match, Ignacy Kornasiewicz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nour Al Tufail was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
