Henric Palm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julian Gurgul read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Błękitny Grom's zone, Teodor Opálka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Gurgul came out of the goal and Teodor Opálka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Neruda in the 39th minute of play forced Błękitny Grom's goalkeeper Julian Gurgul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josef Pospíšil charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josef Pospíšil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Josef Pospíšil hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Teodor Opálka struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Julian Gurgul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tottenham Hotspur FC. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ryszard Klejnowski charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Błękitny Grom's Ryszard Klejnowski got a free kick in the 63rd minute.
