PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Nildo Pereira notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Luís Maia. Luís Maia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 16 minutes, Bata Palma made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Luís Maia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Nildo Pereira put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Maia. The audience was convinced that Nildo Pereira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Maia was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gilson Saldanha made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Nildo Pereira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luís Maia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 57 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Furtado came free, but Luís Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, COURO COME FC's Hélio Furtado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. After 64 played minutes COURO COME FC got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Ortiz. Nildo Pereira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Luís Maia made a huge save. In the 74th match minute, COURO COME FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Severo to maneuver through the defense. When Dudu Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dudu Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Luís Maia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nildo Pereira in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Bata Palma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Dudu Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. A hard shot 84 in the game by Bata Palma from a close distance when the talented Luís Maia managed to make a qualified save. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's players were relieved. A nice corner shot did that Bruninho Rodrigues got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luís Maia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wágner Toledo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Luís Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bata Palma, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Deivid Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the COURO COME FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deivid Ortiz couldn't finish the play. After having played for 94 minutes, Nildo Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. COURO COME FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nildo Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. COURO COME FC played a much better game than PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ and deserved their victory. The PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
