The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Saint Glenn Gothenburg's zone, Felix Cartiș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wictor Säf came out of the goal and Felix Cartiș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 4th minute, Felix Cartiș left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 12th minute, Angelino Miliano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wictor Säf was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jan Apelkvist hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Francisc Geangu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Åke Sjöberg in the 19th minute of play. After 21 minutes, Jan Apelkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saint Glenn Gothenburg and the FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Saint Glenn Gothenburg got a freekick which was hit by Jan Apelkvist. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Ţirpescu in the 24th minute of play forced Saint Glenn Gothenburg's goalkeeper Wictor Säf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wictor Säf didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucrețiu Ţirpescu went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Wictor Säf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Ţirpescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Lucrețiu Ţirpescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wictor Säf was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After 31 played minutes FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV got a freekick which was hit by Marcu Lelescu. Wictor Säf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Ţirpescu in the 39th minute of the match. Wictor Säf came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV's Angelino Miliano. But to his dismay, Angelino Miliano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The wind increased when Lucrețiu Ţirpescu made the kick off in the second half. Lucrețiu Ţirpescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Wictor Säf when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Iordache Bugariu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Wictor Säf made a huge save. Wictor Säf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Ţirpescu in the 60th minute of play. Saint Glenn Gothenburg's Wictor Säf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Saint Glenn Gothenburg from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Saint Glenn Gothenburg getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Harry Enegren hit a great ball. After 66 minutes, Dan Västlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saint Glenn Gothenburg and the FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV players grew even worse after the yellow card. FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV's Basarab Pătru was substituted for Lucrețiu Ţirpescu. Dan Västlund hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Basarab Pătru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wictor Säf was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Wictor Säf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelino Miliano in the 83rd minute. Iordache Bugariu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wictor Säf firmly grabbed it by the left post. Wictor Säf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Pătru, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Ioan Ionescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wictor Säf was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. The supporters of Saint Glenn Gothenburg booed when FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Pătru didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Saint Glenn Gothenburg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
