The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Federico Mauro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Henry Lembeck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. POPODARA F.C's Federico Mauro got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Federico Mauro put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Henry Lembeck. After a rather tough play, POPODARA F.C's Erik Raastad got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 21 minutes, Vegard Berdal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the POPODARA F.C and the Zijdewind SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The POPODARA F.C fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when POPODARA F.C's Federico Mauro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 29 played minutes Zijdewind SC got a freekick which was hit by Wilco Theuws. POPODARA F.C's Raymond Halseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest van der Laan in the 31st minute of play. After 35 played minutes POPODARA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Leonidas. Henry Lembeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Mauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Federico Mauro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry Lembeck having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Federico Mauro to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Zijdewind SC's zone, Federico Mauro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Lembeck came out of the goal and Federico Mauro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Lembeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Mauro in the 61st minute of play. Henry Lembeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Mauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernest van der Laan struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Raymond Halseth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zijdewind SC. Ernest van der Laan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erwin Meerdink kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Morten Ekeland managed to get in a good position for a shot. POPODARA F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Morten Ekeland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Lembeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute of the game, Melvin Woering landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xavi Hernandez during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zijdewind SC made a substitution. Damien Schimmel replaced Melvin Woering. In the 87th minute, Federico Mauro made a precise shot to the right of Henry Lembeck. Zijdewind SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Federico Mauro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Henry Lembeck when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 92nd minute Erik Raastad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Lembeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. POPODARA F.C's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
