An unexpectedly hard shot by William Lepreux in the 5th minute of play forced Xeneize F.C's goalkeeper Hilario Aurre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Lepreux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilario Aurre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Vetter, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 12 minutes into the game, R.C. Marseille's Paulo Teinturier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Aurre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After taking down the ball on R.C. Marseille's corner Sofiane Candau fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hilario Aurre quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Xeneize F.C defense, Paulo Teinturier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Aurre. The Xeneize F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Aurre should have stopped the shot. Hilario Aurre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bart Vetter in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Paulo Teinturier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Aurre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xeneize F.C's Hilario Aurre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Vetter in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes Xeneize F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sofiane Candau who took care of the corner kick. Sofiane Candau made a great header on R.C. Marseille's corner, it was just that Xeneize F.C's Hilario Aurre managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, William Lepreux managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.C. Marseille's supporters rose to their feet, but William Lepreux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Aurre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Candido Erroman during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Xeneize F.C's Candido Erroman got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 34th minute of the match Sofiane Candau shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hilario Aurre showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sofiane Candau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Bart Vetter notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Xeneize F.C's Hilario Aurre. Hilario Aurre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hilario Aurre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Vetter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40th play minutes Paulo Teinturier shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Hilario Aurre and just under the crossbar into goal. After 44 minutes of play, R.C. Marseille's Bart Vetter made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hilario Aurre was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Teinturier was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Paulo Teinturier made a precise shot to the right of Hilario Aurre. Xeneize F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. 55 minutes into the match, Paulo Teinturier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hilario Aurre, 0-7. Hilario Aurre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Teinturier in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Xeneize F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Teinturier came free, but Hilario Aurre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Lepreux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Aurre having to interfere. Xeneize F.C's Siro Beliran was substituted for Teobaldo Juvenal. Xeneize F.C's Faustino Bordat was substituted for Teofilo Alonso. Xeneize F.C's Jaime Omero was substituted for Candido Erroman. Sofiane Candau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Aurre having to interfere. In the 67th minute Paulo Teinturier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Aurre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th match minute, Xeneize F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Iruinea to maneuver through the defense. Bart Vetter struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Hilario Aurre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for R.C. Marseille. In the 72nd minute of the match, Bart Vetter got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hilario Aurre was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hilario Aurre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Teinturier in the 73rd minute of the match. Xeneize F.C's Hilario Aurre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Teinturier in the 75th minute of play. Hilario Aurre made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Bart Vetter sent off a good shot on target. Hilario Aurre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Teinturier in the 78th minute of the match. R.C. Marseille were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Xeneize F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sofiane Candau took the corner. When Xeneize F.C's Pastor Cordera in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye R.C. Marseille's goalie prevented a goal. Paulo Teinturier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Hilario Aurre made a huge save. After 89 minutes of play, R.C. Marseille's Bart Vetter made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hilario Aurre was left in no man's land by his defense there! R.C. Marseille's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
