Laurențiu Popescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Simões in the 7th minute of play. Mădălin Răduț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedrinho Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Valentin Susara kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes Alexandria Team08 got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Susara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Simões in the 18th minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Laurențiu Popescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandria Team08's Laurențiu Popescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos da Costa in the 19th minute of play. Laurențiu Popescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Simões in the 23rd minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Laurențiu Popescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurențiu Popescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Andrade in the 24th minute of the match. Mădălin Răduț could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Nelson Rocha made a huge save. In the 25thth minute of the game Mădălin Răduț who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Nelson Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mădălin Răduț in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nelson Rocha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Alexandria Team08's zone, Gildo Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurențiu Popescu came out of the goal and Gildo Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Manuel Amânaloae's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nelson Rocha was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

Mădălin Răduț charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mădălin Răduț the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mădălin Răduț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. The referee ignored Alexandria Team08's protests and gave Eduard Luncanu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alexandria Team08 getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Eduard Luncanu hit a great ball. Valentin Susara kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Răduț came free, but Nelson Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mădălin Răduț, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Alexandria Team08 players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
