Bao Huguet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 柯天林, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Svennis Grabbar FF's Edwin Offendahl got a free kick in the 26th minute. Antônio Carlos Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bao Huguet having to interfere. Bao Huguet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antônio Carlos Tasso made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Tasso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bao Huguet. Bao Huguet made an important save on a dangerous shot by 柯天林 in the 76th minute. 柯天林 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Bao Huguet made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Antônio Carlos Tasso took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Bao Huguet to make any attempt to save it. 柯天林 succeeded in the game's 87th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-11. The audience thought a goal was coming when 柯天林 got free with Bao Huguet in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute Antônio Carlos Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bao Huguet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Svennis Grabbar FF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Velez-Malaga throughout the match.
