Fazıl Hüsnü Erandaç made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Joseph Holmberg sent off a good shot on target. Ronnie Meck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Plaski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joseph Holmberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fazıl Hüsnü Erandaç. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
