Cordeara Igay started the match with the kick off. Júnior Galego might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Merlin Dolan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Júnior Galego ran back to his position shaking his head. 4 minutes into the match, Júnior Galego notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan. Merlin Dolan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Merlin Dolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Galego, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute Cordeara Igay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Dolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zamalek FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Júnior Galego was slow to take the kick. During this time Limoeiro-PE FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Júnior Galego almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan did a great save. Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordeara Igay in the 17th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Limoeiro-PE FC were awarded a corner. Júnior Galego went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Limoeiro-PE FC's Celsinho Alagoano to fire away a dangerous shot which Merlin Dolan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Galego came free, but Merlin Dolan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merlin Dolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Mineiro in the 36th minute of the match. 0-3 became the score in the 37th minute when Célio Mineiro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Limoeiro-PE FC's Júnior Galego in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zamalek FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 42 played minutes Limoeiro-PE FC got a freekick which was hit by Irwin Pustak. Santo Knox's late challenge caught a Limoeiro-PE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santo Knox helped the player get up and apologised. Santo Knox hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Irwin Pustak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Dolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brendon Fish to strike the kick off in the second half. Júnior Galego received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Merlin Dolan came out and tried to block the shot, but Júnior Galego slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 54th minute. Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Zamalek FC from getting a goal against them. Cordeara Igay received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. In the 63rd minute, Celsinho Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giga Hertz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Fish, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Galego in the 69th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Merlin Dolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 played minutes Zamalek FC got a freekick which was hit by Tuan Glover. Célio Mineiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Merlin Dolan having to make a save. In the 75th minute Irwin Pustak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Dolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merlin Dolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Mineiro in the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Júnior Galego hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merlin Dolan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celsinho Alagoano in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute of the match, Cordeara Igay got a very nice opportunity to score, but Merlin Dolan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Limoeiro-PE FC's Cordeara Igay got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute Júnior Galego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Dolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Limoeiro-PE FC's Júnior Galego slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Merlin Dolan. That made the score 0-6 after 96 minutes of play. When the match was over Limoeiro-PE FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zamalek FC throughout the match.
