Matungo Gaúcho's Cido da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Sergipano in the 2nd minute of play. Fernando Lara's late challenge caught a Mestre GG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Lara helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Mestre GG a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benjamim Medeiros, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Matungo Gaúcho's Cido da Rocha. 0-1. Matungo Gaúcho's Cido da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Sergipano in the 8th minute of play. Cido da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Netto in the 11th minute of play. Cido da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute, Dé Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Cido da Rocha. Matungo Gaúcho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 23 minutes into the game, Mestre GG's Chiquinho Sergipano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cido da Rocha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chiquinho Sergipano in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cido da Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matungo Gaúcho's Cido da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betinho Mangueira in the 29th minute of play. Cido da Rocha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Betinho Mangueira went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. When Benjamim Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Mestre GG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamim Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Mestre GG's Horácio Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th match minute, Matungo Gaúcho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dário da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Matungo Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Sergipano came free, but Cido da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cido da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Mangueira in the 40th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chiquinho Sergipano made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamim Medeiros got free with Cido da Rocha in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 53 minutes into the match, Horácio Netto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cido da Rocha. Matungo Gaúcho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horácio Netto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Horácio Netto, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The throw-in from Matías Cosme in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Matungo Gaúcho's Miguel de Andrade. Cido da Rocha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Chiquinho Sergipano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 62 minute of play. Cido da Rocha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horácio Netto went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Chiquinho Sergipano took a quick shot and it went in 1-9 without a chance for Cido da Rocha to make any attempt to save it. Matungo Gaúcho's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Horácio Netto scored to the left of an out of position Cido da Rocha, making the score, 1-10. In the 76th minute Chiquinho Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido da Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Chiquinho Sergipano notched a goal, 1-11, to the right of Matungo Gaúcho's Cido da Rocha. Cido da Rocha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 80th minute, Horácio Netto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mestre GG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-12. Cido da Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamim Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Dé Paiva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cido da Rocha. That made the score 1-13 in the 86 minute of play. Betinho Mangueira struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Cido da Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mestre GG. 94 minutes into the match, Matungo Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Sergipano came free, but Cido da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Matías Cosme fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the match was over Mestre GG could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Matungo Gaúcho throughout the match.
