In the 17th minute, Florin Tarcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Mihai Stolojan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florin Tarcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiel Stercks having to interfere. Alexandru Chitimia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jules De Groote, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jules De Groote managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haithabu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jules De Groote was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandru Chitimia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, FC Inter Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Fre Van Acker came free, but Alexandru Chitimia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregoire Raeimakers hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Mihai Stolojan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. Alexandru Chitimia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mihai Stolojan to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Poets succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Emiel Stercks came out of the goal and Mihai Stolojan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Haithabu FC's Jan-Joost De Weijgaert got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Inter Craiova's goalkeeper Alexandru Chitimia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexandru Chitimia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Poets's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. FC Inter Craiova's Alexandru Chitimia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fre Van Acker in the 77th minute of play. Ştefan Carp's late challenge caught a Haithabu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Bruno Poets sped through FC Inter Craiova's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alexandru Chitimia. In the 90th match minute, Haithabu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregoire Raeimakers to maneuver through the defense.
