Cayo Ituarte came out of the goal and Angelino Bernard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Oalo in the 6th minute of play forced INTERNAUTAS FDC's goalkeeper Cayo Ituarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes of play, El Retorno de Palermo's Gerardo Oalo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cayo Ituarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, INTERNAUTAS FDC's goalkeeper Cayo Ituarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerardo Oalo. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Gerardo Oalo took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Cayo Ituarte to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, INTERNAUTAS FDC's Cayo Ituarte got control of the ball when Gerardo Oalo tried to sneak it across the goal line. INTERNAUTAS FDC's Cayo Ituarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Bernard in the 41st minute of play. Cayo Ituarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florencio Patrido in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelino Bernard to make the kick off. INTERNAUTAS FDC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Cayo Ituarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Mikeldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of El Retorno de Palermo booed when INTERNAUTAS FDC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rufio Gorvea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cayo Ituarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Mikeldi in the 96th minute of play.
