After a rather tough play, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Aurre Salado got a free kick in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Simão in the 14th minute of play forced Glorioso Deportivo Cali's goalkeeper Gagriel Aramoyana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gagriel Aramoyana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Rossi in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Glorioso Deportivo Cali getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Remicio Cismado hit a great ball. Melchazadec Sorondo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Cássio Arce was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. Téo Koehler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Oranil's goalkeeper Téo Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paz Torices. The supporters of Oranil booed when Glorioso Deportivo Cali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchazadec Sorondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Jorge López got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Jacinto de Salles got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Paz Torices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's supporters rose to their feet, but Paz Torices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Téo Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paz Torices stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Vinicio Ciencabrero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Téo Koehler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 55th play minutes Paz Torices shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Téo Koehler and just under the crossbar into goal. Aurre Salado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Téo Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paz Torices was shown his second yellow card after 62 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 62nd minute, Paz Torices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melchazadec Sorondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Téo Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge López struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Téo Koehler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glorioso Deportivo Cali. Jorge López blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Téo Koehler having to make a save. Aurre Salado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Glorioso Deportivo Cali players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
