After a rather tough play, US Albenga's Federico Gerosa got a free kick in the 17th minute. US Albenga's Bernardo De Fina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Araoz in the 19th minute of play. Timoteo Goito kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the match Beppe Gulli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emiliano Veto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniele Molinario in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Veto saved La Scaloneta from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felice Bottone in the 26th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Emiliano Veto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Emiliano Veto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniele Molinario. US Albenga's Felice Bottone got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emiliano Veto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beppe Gulli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emiliano Veto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Bottone in the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alonzo Leheren hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniele Molinario made a kick off. Emiliano Veto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniele Molinario went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Felice Bottone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Emiliano Veto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, US Albenga's Daniele Molinario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emiliano Veto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Felice Bottone kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Gustavo Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnoldo Cuartio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After some careless play in the La Scaloneta defense, Daniele Molinario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Veto. The La Scaloneta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Veto should have stopped the shot. La Scaloneta's Cosme Amato quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Adriano Marcon, made in the 83rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Molinario in the 86th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Emiliano Veto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 minutes, Timoteo Goito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Scaloneta and the US Albenga players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Timoteo Goito hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniele Molinario in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Veto saved La Scaloneta from getting behind. Emiliano Veto came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by US Albenga's Alvaro Masetti. But to his dismay, Alvaro Masetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. La Scaloneta's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
