Kuzey Değer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Kuzey Değer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregory Cachia Caruana was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Kuzey Değer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Gregory Cachia Caruana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ersin Özak fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's protests and gave Ersin Özak a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI got a freekick which was hit by Ersin Özak. In the 18thth minute of the game Steve Cilia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's Taner Koralp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Steve Cilia struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Taner Koralp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swatar United FC. When Ersin Özak was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 20 minutes had been played. The supporters of Swatar United FC booed when BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ersin Özak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Soler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Taner Koralp made a huge save. Taner Koralp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Cilia, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Muharrem Satır hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Mark Soler came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Swatar United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Soler couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's Abdulbaki Kayrak got a free kick in the 38th minute. Taner Koralp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Cilia in the 41st minute of play. Steve Cilia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Soler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Steve Cilia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Swatar United FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Mike Bajada hit a great ball. Mark Soler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taner Koralp having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Swatar United FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
