Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mark Soler started the match with the kick off. Juan Velazquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Soler in the 4th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Steve Cilia notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fuerzas Armadas's Juan Velazquez. Juan Velazquez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute Mark Soler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Velazquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fuerzas Armadas's Juan Velazquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Cilia in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Amadeo Mallia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Velazquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Soler in the 20th minute of play forced Fuerzas Armadas's goalkeeper Juan Velazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Velazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Soler, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Steve Cilia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Swatar United FC's Gregory Cachia Caruana got control of the ball when Walme Molina tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Fuerzas Armadas booed when Swatar United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Xriha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Angel Rico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fuerzas Armadas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Swatar United FC the free kick. The supporters of Swatar United FC booed when Fuerzas Armadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Swatar United FC's Gregory Cachia Caruana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordero Olano in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Amadeo Mallia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Velazquez. Fuerzas Armadas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeo Mallia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Luis-Miguel Pardo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Kenneth Vella shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Velazquez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cordero Olano made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Swatar United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bero Galdamez came free, but Gregory Cachia Caruana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregory Cachia Caruana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordero Olano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Velazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Cilia, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Walme Molina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fuerzas Armadas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Steve Cilia scored to the left of an out of position Juan Velazquez, making the score, 1-4. After some careless play in the Swatar United FC defense, Bero Galdamez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregory Cachia Caruana. The Swatar United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregory Cachia Caruana should have stopped the shot. When Fuerzas Armadas's Angel Rico in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Swatar United FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Walme Molina came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Fuerzas Armadas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walme Molina couldn't finish the play. Juan Velazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Cilia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeo Mallia kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cordero Olano in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregory Cachia Caruana saved Swatar United FC from getting behind. If Steve Cilia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fuerzas Armadas's Juan Velazquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Fuerzas Armadas from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Swatar United FC's zone, Bero Galdamez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregory Cachia Caruana came out of the goal and Bero Galdamez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Swatar United FC booed when Fuerzas Armadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabri Gandia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeo Mallia got free with Juan Velazquez in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute, Charro Dean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
