In the 8th minute Marco Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Olofsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egídio Loureiro came out of the goal and Andreas Gunnarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rönnöfors FF getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Andreas Gunnarsson hit a great ball. Vincent Olofsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Varela's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. During the 31st minute of the match Xavier Lamego completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Xavier Lamego a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 34 minutes of play, Rönnöfors FF's Andreas Gunnarsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egídio Loureiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Marco Varela fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minho FC's protests and gave Marco Varela a yellow card for diving instead. Marco Varela hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Andreas Gunnarsson fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rönnöfors FF's protests and gave Andreas Gunnarsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Rönnöfors FF got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Gunnarsson. Ramiro Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th match minute, Rönnöfors FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andréas Albom to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Rönnöfors FF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Vilas Boas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vilas Boas in the 53rd minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Vincent Olofsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Vincent Olofsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vincent Olofsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vilas Boas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stig Frykberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Egídio Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Vincent Olofsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minho FC. The Rönnöfors FF players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Minho FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
