Deportivo Mukenio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Volker Biermann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Toralf Noldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Fanuco in the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Desiderio Bieito was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Mukenio's players had a chance to rest.
