In the 7th minute, Lamar Hongyi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute, Sajeev Chong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LiverBird Flyers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cosme Reynardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bineesh Tian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Pere in the 15th minute of play forced LiverBird Flyers FC's goalkeeper Sajeev Mathews to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Bineesh Boon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Reynardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mariano Aztore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sajeev Mathews took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Lawrence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardino Ortle was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 27 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Echale FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! In the 29th minute there was a penalty for LiverBird Flyers FC. Zafran Choo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cosme Reynardo. 0-3. When LiverBird Flyers FC's Lee Tee in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Echale FC's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the game, Lee Tee cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Cosme Reynardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cosme Reynardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamar Hongyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Lawrence in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sajeev Mathews prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cosme Reynardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lee Tee in the 42nd minute of the match. Echale FC's Cosme Reynardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Tee in the 44th minute of play. Sajeev Chong took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cosme Reynardo. Cosme Reynardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sajeev Mathews stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Pere's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After 55 played minutes LiverBird Flyers FC got a freekick which was hit by Lamar Hongyi. Cosme Reynardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shahiran Choo in the 60th minute of play. Lee Tee charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lee Tee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to LiverBird Flyers FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Lee Tee hit a great ball. The supporters of LiverBird Flyers FC booed when Echale FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Ourente didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Aztore in the 79th minute of play forced LiverBird Flyers FC's goalkeeper Sajeev Mathews to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Echale FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lee Tee came free, but Cosme Reynardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Pere struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Sajeev Mathews didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Echale FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Pere in the 92nd minute of play forced LiverBird Flyers FC's goalkeeper Sajeev Mathews to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sajeev Mathews came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Echale FC's Tomas Pere. But to his dismay, Tomas Pere quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. The Echale FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching LiverBird Flyers FC's performance. The match ended with a win for LiverBird Flyers FC.
