Jannick Decorte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Jannick Decorte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renato Pena's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Jannick Decorte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iuri Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Alberto Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannick Decorte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Anthony Van Leemput was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geetsvondel²'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ATHLETICO PRaiano the free kick. A collision led to Geetsvondel² getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Anthony Van Leemput hit a great ball. Renato Pena took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jannick Decorte. Jannick Decorte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Pena in the 22nd minute of play forced Geetsvondel²'s goalkeeper Jannick Decorte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renato Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jannick Decorte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Pena in the 32nd minute of play forced Geetsvondel²'s goalkeeper Jannick Decorte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Geetsvondel² booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgílio Maia's late challenge caught a Geetsvondel²'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgílio Maia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Geetsvondel² booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jannick Decorte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Leme in the 45th minute of the match. Alberto Tróia might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jannick Decorte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tróia ran back to his position shaking his head. 47 minutes into the match, Renato Pena notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Geetsvondel²'s Jannick Decorte. Jannick Decorte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jef Vanden Bussche was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano got a freekick which was hit by Renato Pena. 58 minutes into the game, Renato Pena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ATHLETICO PRaiano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geetsvondel² the free kick. Renato Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. When Alberto Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the ATHLETICO PRaiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tróia couldn't finish the play. After 62 minutes, Harold De Mayer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geetsvondel² and the ATHLETICO PRaiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Harold De Mayer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Pena struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jannick Decorte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATHLETICO PRaiano. When Wayne Sterks fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geetsvondel²'s protests and gave Wayne Sterks a yellow card for diving instead. Wayne Sterks hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Iuri Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iuri Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Pedro Paulo Vidal hit a great ball. Arlindo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephan Bouman in the 78th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Maia. Joseph De Langhe's late challenge caught a ATHLETICO PRaiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joseph De Langhe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Joseph De Langhe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Geetsvondel² getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Stephan Bouman hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Gijselinckx in the 90th minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Arlindo Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Paulo Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over ATHLETICO PRaiano could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Geetsvondel² throughout the match.
