Modestas Merkelis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Modestas Merkelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Bertus van Dongen made a huge save. A collision led to Absoliut getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Marijus Murauskis hit a great ball. Bertus van Dongen made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Sigitas Barasa sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sipke Hardering in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karolis Badauskas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 17 played minutes Mosk got a freekick which was hit by Johan Daelemans. Absoliut's Karolis Badauskas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sipke Hardering in the 20th minute of play. Karolis Badauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Robbermond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mosk's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigitas Barasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Absoliut's players had a chance to rest. Absoliut's Sigitas Barasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bertus van Dongen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 25th minute, Marius Zybartas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes, Marius Zybartas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Absoliut and the Mosk players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mosk booed when Absoliut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Zybartas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Absoliut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marijus Murauskis to maneuver through the defense. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertus van Dongen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bertus van Dongen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Zybartas in the 44th minute of the match. Mosk's Bertus van Dongen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modestas Merkelis in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Mosk's Gerwin Schrage was substituted for Ernest Hoogendorp. Mosk's Jim Peeters was substituted for Jacques Klasen. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sipke Hardering was the one to do the kick off. 64 minutes into the match, Mosk's Marcel Vrieling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karolis Badauskas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Mosk's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Zybartas came free, but Bertus van Dongen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kęstutis Murauskis hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sigitas Barasa in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bertus van Dongen saved Mosk from getting behind. Andrius Šarkauskas charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrius Šarkauskas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mosk booed when Absoliut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrius Šarkauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Modestas Merkelis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bertus van Dongen having to make a save. Absoliut's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
