After some careless play in the FC Grodzka defense, Ricardinho Simão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zdzislaw Walentowicz. The FC Grodzka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zdzislaw Walentowicz should have stopped the shot. Zdzislaw Walentowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Toscano in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match Clube do Remo MZ got a corner. FC Grodzka's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Reis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Samuel Reis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Grodzka's Zdzislaw Walentowicz did a great save. In the 11th minute, Mieszko Literski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, one of FC Grodzka:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Grodzka. Samuel Reis shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Caetano Camargo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Chowaniec in the 23rd minute of play forced Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Anderson Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, FC Grodzka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mieszko Literski to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when FC Grodzka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grzegorz Bielenda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Ricardinho Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube do Remo MZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardinho Simão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zdzislaw Walentowicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardinho Simão in the 43rd minute. FC Grodzka's Zdzislaw Walentowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Simão in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Clube do Remo MZ's Anderson Meira got control of the ball when Fabian Kempka tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 55 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Reis. Karol Gieraltowski's late challenge caught a Clube do Remo MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karol Gieraltowski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Karol Gieraltowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Zé Carlos Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zdzislaw Walentowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Simão in the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Clube do Remo MZ's Gustavo Reis got a free kick in the 71st minute. 71 minutes into the match, FC Grodzka's Juliusz Wolnik broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 78th match minute, FC Grodzka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmund Loncki to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute of the match Samuel Reis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zdzislaw Walentowicz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 81st minute Mieszko Literski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anderson Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Grodzka booed when Clube do Remo MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zdzislaw Walentowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Clube do Remo MZ were victorious despite being under pressure from FC Grodzka for much of the match.
