With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilson Sá in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stan Hagemans saved VC zoetwater from getting behind. A collision led to VC zoetwater getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jarne Van Kelf hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Jos Armentier notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Montesclarense E.C.'s Elivélton Koehler. Elivélton Koehler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18thth minute of the game Jos Armentier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montesclarense E.C.'s Elivélton Koehler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Luiz Cavalcante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Stan Hagemans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Montesclarense E.C. fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Cavalcante looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luiz Fabiano Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stan Hagemans having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Marc Van Linthaut mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VC zoetwater and the Montesclarense E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when VC zoetwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Van Linthaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes, Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Monteiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stan Hagemans came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montesclarense E.C. reached it. Luiz Cavalcante took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stan Hagemans. Stan Hagemans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Marcelinho Magalhães was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, one of Montesclarense E.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montesclarense E.C..

Jos Armentier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Elivélton Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elivélton Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jos Armentier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VC zoetwater were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Montesclarense E.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jeoffrey Wiggers took the corner. The corner ended in Jeoffrey Wiggers almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Montesclarense E.C.'s Elivélton Koehler did a great save. A collision led to Montesclarense E.C. getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Wilson Sá hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Jos Armentier managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC zoetwater's supporters rose to their feet, but Jos Armentier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elivélton Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute, Wilson Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Jos Armentier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Elivélton Koehler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Montesclarense E.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
