The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes FC Autolycus got a freekick which was hit by Jedrzej Mios. Jerzy Szel might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefan Awizo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerzy Szel ran back to his position shaking his head. When Jedrzej Mios fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Autolycus's protests and gave Jedrzej Mios a yellow card for diving instead. Jedrzej Mios kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, FC Autolycus's goalkeeper Stefan Awizo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerzy Szel. A collision led to FC Autolycus getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Stanislaw Zaworski hit a great ball. Emil Kasprzykowski kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes LKS Wasik Lidzbark got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Chuchro. Stefan Awizo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wincent Wolczewski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. In the 26th minute Juliusz Dziura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kacper Dulka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, FC Autolycus's Roch Wincek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kacper Dulka made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jurand Zywiec during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Autolycus booed when LKS Wasik Lidzbark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurand Zywiec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mieszko Skarpiak's late challenge caught a LKS Wasik Lidzbark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mieszko Skarpiak helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes FC Autolycus got a freekick which was hit by Juliusz Dziura. In the 45th minute Tomasz Sokol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Awizo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, FC Autolycus's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Szel came free, but Stefan Awizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Awizo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerzy Szel's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Kacper Dulka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, LKS Wasik Lidzbark's goalkeeper Kacper Dulka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jedrzej Mios. In the 73rd minute of the match Zygmunt Czapski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stefan Awizo skillfully saved the ball. FC Autolycus's Stefan Awizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Szel in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to FC Autolycus getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Mieszko Skarpiak hit a great ball. If Jerzy Szel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 80 minutes, Jerzy Szel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
