The referee ignored Garsås IF's protests and gave Hjalmar Hägglund a yellow card for diving instead. Hjalmar Hägglund hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Andrade during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Garsås IF booed when Flamengo FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th match minute, Garsås IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Erik Nordlander to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Garsås IF's Stellan Hansson got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Celso Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Flamengo FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Nascimento couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Flamengo FSCMZ booed when Garsås IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stellan Hansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garsås IF's Ludvig Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armandinho Leão in the 33rd minute of play. Ludvig Olofsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Nascimento in the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Garsås IF's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Saraiva came free, but Ludvig Olofsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The Garsås IF fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Garsås IF's Gunnar Asmundsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Garsås IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Celso Nascimento ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Asmundsson in the 85th minute of play forced Flamengo FSCMZ's goalkeeper Vitinho Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hjalmar Hägglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Bastos having to interfere.
