Atanas Dlúgnekov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Asmundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With 16 minutes on the clock, Sven-Erik Nordlander commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 16th minute, Sven-Erik Nordlander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, FC CSKA's Gancho Topencharov tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Filcho Angelchev came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the FC CSKA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filcho Angelchev couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC CSKA booed when Garsås IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stellan Hansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vangel Dinev made in the 28th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Radomir Milin immediately put the ball in play. The audience was convinced that Velko Goleminov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludvig Olofsson was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kamen Sarandev in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludvig Olofsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Kamen Sarandev put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ludvig Olofsson. In the 43rd minute, Velko Goleminov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC CSKA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Rafail Bumbovski took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ludvig Olofsson. Ludvig Olofsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafail Bumbovski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ludvig Olofsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. FC CSKA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Genko Kalpachki in the 72nd minute. FC CSKA's Genko Kalpachki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ludvig Olofsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 73 minutes, Filcho Angelchev made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Garsås IF's Ludvig Olofsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ludvig Olofsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filcho Angelchev in the 79th minute. FC CSKA's Adalbert Vechev was substituted for Gancho Topencharov.
