Vitinho Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rich Clough, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Rich Clough managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Staffordshire Terrier FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rich Clough was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitinho Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rich Clough, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Franklin das Neves made in the 27th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Chico Carneiro. Paddy Shackleton made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Benjamim Saraiva sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frankie Manson during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st minute, Frankie Manson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flamengo FSCMZ's Vitinho Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rich Clough in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celso Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Benjamim Saraiva notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Staffordshire Terrier FC's Paddy Shackleton. Paddy Shackleton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Staffordshire Terrier FC made a substitution. Reggie Hibbert replaced Chris Harrison. With an all-out effort, Staffordshire Terrier FC's Vitinho Bastos threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reggie Hibbert, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 65th minute Staffordshire Terrier FC were awarded a corner. Jeff Weir went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Andrade during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 minutes of play, Staffordshire Terrier FC's Graham Long made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitinho Bastos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 79 played minutes Staffordshire Terrier FC got a freekick which was hit by Reggie Hibbert. In the 81st minute, Reggie Hibbert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Graham Long took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitinho Bastos. Vitinho Bastos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Reggie Hibbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Bastos having to interfere. Reggie Hibbert might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitinho Bastos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reggie Hibbert ran back to his position shaking his head. Reggie Hibbert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Vitinho Bastos made a huge save. The Flamengo FSCMZ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Staffordshire Terrier FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Staffordshire Terrier FC.
