After 8 played minutes FC Urzicuța got a freekick which was hit by Panait Dobrescu. 10 minutes into the game, Tudor Bratoloveanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Young Provencher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30thth minute of the game Costin Potocianu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Persepolis F.C.'s Young Provencher was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Costin Potocianu fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Urzicuța's protests and gave Costin Potocianu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Urzicuța's Cătălin Gavra got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 35th match minute, FC Urzicuța was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cătălin Gavra to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Urzicuța booed when Persepolis F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylvain Minton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ferdinand Bocșan fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Urzicuța's protests and gave Ferdinand Bocșan a yellow card for diving instead. Ferdinand Bocșan hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes Persepolis F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Antoine Nix. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute Costin Potocianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Young Provencher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brenton Shipp kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 58 minutes of play FC Urzicuța's Ferdinand Bocșan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Persepolis F.C. booed when FC Urzicuța was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Bocșan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Urzicuța's zone, Sylvain Minton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mircea Avacariței came out of the goal and Sylvain Minton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, Persepolis F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Costin Potocianu came free, but Young Provencher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Persepolis F.C.'s Young Provencher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Fința in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Urzicuța's Rareș Andrei got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Leonard Fința fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Young Provencher having to interfere. Costin Potocianu might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Young Provencher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Costin Potocianu ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Persepolis F.C. getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Claud Tran hit a great ball. When FC Urzicuța's Costin Potocianu in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Persepolis F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Urzicuța's zone, Antoine Nix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mircea Avacariței came out of the goal and Antoine Nix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Young Provencher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Potocianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antoine Nix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mircea Avacariței tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Urzicuța's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
