Zikri Öğün fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Philipopoulos having to interfere. istanbulls's Zikri Öğün got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugenios Schinas to make the kick off. The supporters of istanbulls booed when Pap FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aris Bolosis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pap FC's Dimitris Philipopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Pap FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Zikri Öğün's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dimitris Philipopoulos was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
