Spectators: 191 (Terracing: 144, Seating: 44, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Claudio Papetti kicked off to start the match. FC Lëtzebuerg's Benjamin Chevalier got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Edward von Grimmelhausen took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Comunardo Longo to make any attempt to save it. Emilio Esposito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Fiume Veneto's Ercole Ottaviani got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute, Danny Edelmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Lëtzebuerg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 23 minutes of play Fiume Veneto's Ercole Ottaviani was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 24th minute, Ercole Ottaviani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danny Edelmann took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Comunardo Longo. Comunardo Longo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Comunardo Longo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Chevalier in the 37th minute of the match. Comunardo Longo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward von Grimmelhausen in the 42nd minute of play. Fiume Veneto's Comunardo Longo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Fiume Veneto from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the match, Fiume Veneto's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Edelmann came free, but Comunardo Longo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Terry Kieffer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Rossetti in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute Danny Edelmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Longo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bruno Rossetti fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fiume Veneto's protests and gave Bruno Rossetti a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Bruno Rossetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes Fiume Veneto got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Fantasia. After 59 minutes of play, FC Lëtzebuerg's George Schnitzler made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Comunardo Longo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Comunardo Longo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danny Edelmann's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 69th minute Edward von Grimmelhausen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Longo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudio Papetti during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Fiume Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Papetti to maneuver through the defense. Comunardo Longo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward von Grimmelhausen, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When FC Lëtzebuerg's Benjamin Chevalier in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Fiume Veneto defense, Danny Edelmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Comunardo Longo. The Fiume Veneto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Comunardo Longo should have stopped the shot. A collision led to FC Lëtzebuerg getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Karlheinz Schmit hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Lëtzebuerg fully deserved thier win.
